NFL Preseason Week 2

As the NFL's second week of Preseason came to a close, the San Francisco 49ers beat the Denver Broncos 24-15 on Monday night. This game had a lot of comeback players in it. One of them is Jimmy Garoppolo the 49ers Quarterback. Garoppolo tore his ACL at the beginning of last season, his comeback game was not what everyone expected... Garoppolo went 1-6 passing with no yards and an interception. Also, Broncos receiver Emmanuel Sanders played his first game since early December. He had a great performance... He ran an end-around play for 19 yards and a 45-yard catch that was eventually wiped out by a penalty. Overall, Sanders had a great comeback game yesterday and not so great for Jimmy G. The New England Patriots had a very good game against the Tennesee Titans beating them 22-17. Aside from that, Josh Gordon made his return to Pats practice after a suspension because of violating the league's substance abuse policy. He has violated this policy 4 times since 2013 and the NFL had

Sammy Watkins Heading Over To Kansas City

Ex-Rams Wide Receiver Sammy Watkins is heading over to Kansas City. Watkins, after being released by the LA Rams, signed a 3-year $48 million dollar deal (with $30 million in guarantees) with the Chiefs. Watkins was released by the Rams after playing with them for only 1 season.  The Chiefs have been making VERY BIG moves this off-season. This signing will give Quarterback Patrick Mahomes II yet ANOTHER big weapon. With Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce, the Chiefs will be close to UNSTOPPABLE!! If I was the Chiefs GM, I would have made this deal too. But I would have given him a little less money. Because if he got released by the Rams after only 1 season, he probably wasn't performing as well as they wanted him to.  For more info, visit:  http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000920815/article/sammy-watkins-heading-to-chiefs-with-3year-deal

Seahawks DE Michael Bennett traded to Eagles

Seattle Seahawks Defensive End Michael Bennett to the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles got Bennett and a seventh-round pick, and the Seahawks got Wide Receiver Marcus Johnson and a 5th-round pick. If I were the Seahawks I wouldn't have made this trade. Because Michael Bennet is a REALLY good player, and Marcus Johnson, he isn't that good. So the Seahawks should have AT LEAST gotten a first or second-round pick instead of a 5th rounder. But I'm not the Seahawks owner, he probably had something else in mind. Panthers Safety Kurt Coleman signs 3-year deal with Saints

Carolina Panthers Safety Kurt Coleman signs a 3-year deal with the New Orleans Saints. The deal is worth up to $18 million, receiving $6 million in his first year. Coleman was drafted out of Ohio State in 2010. Coleman spent the last three years in Carolina before being released by the Panthers on Monday. Rams Trade DE Robert Quinn to Dolphins

The Los Angeles Rams traded Defensive End Robert Quinn to the Miami Dolphins for a mid-round pick. The trade can't be official until the new NFL year starts on March 14, 2018. The Rams and Dolphins also swapped late-round picks for the upcoming draft. Lions use franchise tag on DE Ezekiel Ansah

The Detroit Lions used their franchise tag on Defensive End, Ezekiel Ansah. From what I understand, the Lions are using their tag on him is because he proved to be one of the best Edge Rushers in 2017. The Lions are paying Ansah $17.5 million for 2018. I know it was a short post. But if you want more info visit:  http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000917791/article/detroit-lions-place-franchise-tag-on-ezekiel-ansah

NFL COULD change Defensive PI to a 15-yard penalty

The National Football League COULD change the Defensive Pass Interference penalty to only a 15-yard penalty. If they actually changed the rule, it would be a minor let down for offensive teams that like to draw contact. I agree and disagree with their try. I agree because I think offenses are getting some of their yards without EARNING the yards. I disagree because this isn't a very necessary time to make a proposal to change the rule. With all of the "Catch Rule" drama, the NFL should deal with that first. For more info visit:  http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000917735/article/nfl-could-change-defensive-pi-to-15yard-penalty
